Interventional Radiology refines cancer diagnostics

Cancer is a constantly changing disease, and its treatment is increasingly based on precise monitoring and analysis of tissue samples. Diagnostic procedures in interventional radiology, such as ultrasound- and CT-guided biopsies, enable the collection of accurate information on the molecular and genetic characteristics of the tumor. This ensures that the patient receives the best possible chemotherapy. Biopsies are taken from both superficial and deep tissues, such as the lungs, liver, kidneys, and pancreas.

Minimally invasive treatments offer new possibilities

The minimally invasive treatments offered by interventional radiology have proven to be as effective as surgical treatments in the management of small early-stage tumors.
