It is of utmost importance for us to monitor our patients' satisfaction and quality of life, as we aim to invest in excellent customer service and make our services and treatments even more effective.

At Docrates Cancer Center, you can quickly get an appointment with a specialist in cancer treatment without a referral. After the consultation with the oncologist, a prompt start of treatment is one of our key cornerstones. You can find our appointment times at the bottom of this page.

Our patients recommend us: Docrates Cancer Center’s Net Promoter Score, or customer recommendation index, was a fantastic 96 in 2023.

*Net Promoter Score (NPS) is an international indicator of customer experience on a scale from -100 to +100. With just one question, “How likely is it that you would recommend Docrates to relatives, friends and acquaintances? (on a scale from 0 to 10)”, it measures the customer’s likelihood to recommend a company or service to friends and family members. Respondents fall into three categories according to the score they give: Promoters (9–10); Passives (7–8); and Detractors (0–6).

Treatment Method

Internal or external radiation therapy for prostate cancer or combination therapy.
Median age of patients at the start of treatment: 67 years. Total number of patients: 397.

Side Effects of Treatment (patients treated 2019-2023)

Full continence within 12 months after radiation therapy for prostate cancer: 90.3% of patients.

  • The result does not negatively differ from the average proportion of all those with incontinence problems in the age group (1) (3).
  • According to Swedish data, only 30% of patients have full continence after prostate surgery (2).

Severe incontinence within 12 months after radiation therapy for prostate cancer: 1.1% of patients.

  • The result does not negatively differ from the average proportion of all those with severe incontinence problems in the age group (1) (3).
  • According to Swedish data, 4% of patients suffer from severe incontinence after prostate surgery (2).

Severe erectile dysfunction within 12 months after prostate radiation therapy: 5% of patients.

  • The result does not negatively differ from the average proportion of all those with severe incontinence problems in the age group (3).
  • According to statistics from Europe’s largest prostate cancer hospital, 34.7% of patients suffer from severe erectile dysfunction after prostate surgery (4).

Rectal injury after radiation therapy: 1.1% of patients.

  • According to statistics from Europe’s largest prostate cancer hospital, 0.2% of patients suffer from rectal injury after prostate surgery (4).

Urinary tract injury after radiation therapy: 0% of patients.

  • According to statistics from Europe’s largest prostate cancer hospital, 0.04% of patients suffer from urinary tract injury after prostate surgery.

You have quick access to a cancer specialist appointment without referral at Docrates Cancer Center.
We carry out the needed examinations immediately and all services are located in the same building.
